Kidpreneur Program!

Are you between the ages of 6-14 and have a cool business idea? Do you want to learn how to sell your homemade product? Then the Kidpreneur Program at the Leslieville Farmers' Market is for you!

The Kidpreneur Program will give kids the opportunity to gain experience being a vendor and selling their own goods at the Leslieville Farmers' Market in Greenwood Park.

The Kidpreneur Program will be led by volunteer, Ellen Goodman a local JK/SK Teacher. Ellen will be supervising on site and assisting the Kidpreneurs during the participation at LFM.

Program participants will have their own vendor booth to sell their products on select Sunday mornings between June and October at the Leslieville Farmers’ Market. They must stay for at least 2 hours, starting at 9:00 am and arriving at 8:30 am to set up. Participating children must keep track of what they have sold and what they have earned.  At the end of their “shift” participants will submit two forms. The first form will show what they sold and what they earned. The second form will help them find their profit by comparing their costs and their sales. They will submit both forms to the program volunteer and pack up their belongings.

We are asking participants to donate a portion of their profits to a charity of their choice. Many businesses do this to support their local community and issues they care about.

The cost to participate is $2.50.

The program is open to anyone between the ages of 6 - 14. Kids can apply on their own or in teams of 2 or 3. Parents and guardians must remain at the Market during the duration of the program.

Kids interested in the program are encouraged to apply by completing the form below and  Ellen will reach out shortly!

Before applying here are a couple questions to think about:

What do you want to sell?

What will you need to make this product?

How will you get your materials?

How much time will it take you to make it?

How much will it cost to buy your product?

Why is your product special?
